My wife and I recently came up with an idea to start a business doing outdoor videos for youth parties and functions. While there are a number of people in the local area running DJ businesses, no one has the ability to do movies. We discussed it and decided to commit. We were concerned about dropping a large amount of money into the project before we knew how well it would take off so we started looking at used equipment. One of the items I came across and could not refuse was a Gator 10U top, 12U side, pop-up console rack.We quickly loaded it with amps, eq’s, etc. to make our vision a reality. As we set out to debut our idea at a large sweet 16 party I had the assistance of several people who loaded my truck with our equipment. With my head spinning trying to ensure I remembered everything, off I drove and failed to ensure anything had been tied down.Several miles down the road as I pulled away from a traffic light, I heard a loud thump and a quick glance in my rearview mirror confirmed my fear. In the middle of the intersection laid my case and a large portion of my recent investment. I quickly pulled off to the side and with the help of a good Samaritan who said I recognize the case and know the stuff in here can be very expensive, we reloaded my truck. When I arrived at the destination, I examined the box and found one caster damaged and the corner of the box had a very minor scratch. We opened it up, plugged everything in, and all of my undamaged equipment came to life. I have no doubt it is due to the durability and quality construction of the Gator cases, my equipment survived a fall from the back of a moving truck. I have since purchased other Gator cases and have, just today, ordered a case for my new Allan & Heath 24 channel mixer.Keep up the great work!
